Context: The foundation stone of India’s first PM MITRA Park has been laid in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh.

Objective:

• To integrate the entire textile value chain — from spinning, weaving, dyeing, printing to garmenting — in a single ecosystem.

• Aims to reduce logistic costs and turnaround time, while ensuring quality enhancement and global competitiveness.

Significance:

• Expected to attract FDI and domestic investment in textiles.

• Will generate large-scale employment and boost India’s ‘Make in India’ & export competitiveness in textiles.

Associated Scheme: Part of the Government’s vision to establish 7 PM MITRA Parks across India under the Ministry of Textiles.
